Creeping Thyme, 4 inch pot
(Thymus serpyllum) Sturdy, aromatic, perennial ground cover that withstands light foot traffic, giving off a pleasant aroma when crushed. Round leaves on creeping stems flower into small lavender peaks. We have begun introducing this plant as a barrier - edging plant for perennial field blocks, and are pretty much obsessed. It does spread into mats, so keep this in mind when planting. We recommend siting near established and / or woody plants, pathways, rock edging.
Drought tolerant once established. Perennial in Zones 5–8.
